This pretest-posttest quasi-treatment design with control group is used in which groups are examined on the attitudes, motivation and academic achievements of the comics students taught in the Science course. The research is carried out with 80 fourth grade students attending their homes in a primary school in the city center of Hatay in the 2021-2022 academic year. An easily accessible and voluntary primary school was included in the study. Two branches from the fourth grades at the school were determined as the Control Group, and two branches as the Experimental Group. In order to collect data from the students within the scope of the research, the Science Lesson Attitude Scale (FBDTS), the Motivation Scale for Science Learning (FÖYME), the Simple Electric Circuits Achievement Test (BEDBT) were used. In this study, in which the effects of educational comics on academic achievement, attitude towards the course and motivation were examined, two educational comics were developed to be used for one week in line with the achievements in the Science Curriculum. There is one achievement in the first comic and two achievements in the second comic. A scenario was prepared by the researcher and the scenario was examined in terms of language and meaning by an academician who is an expert in the field of Turkish education and necessary arrangements were made. This scenario was turned into a comic book using the Pixton website. The measurement tools were applied to the experimental and control groups in the form of pre-test and post-test, and the change in student scores with the experimental intervention was determined. As a result of the research, it was seen that there was a significant difference in favor of the experimental group between the attitude, motivation and academic achievement post-test scores of the experimental and control group students. Accordingly, it can be said that educational comics have a positive effect on the variables of attitude towards the course, motivation and academic achievement.

Fen Bilimleri dersinde eğitici çizgi roman kullanımının öğrencilerin tutum, motivasyon ve akademik başarılarına etkisinin incelendiği bu çalışmada, ön test-son test kontrol gruplu yarı deneysel desen kullanılmıştır. Araştırma 2021-2022 eğitim öğretim yılında Hatay ili merkezinde bulunan bir ilkokulda öğrenimlerine devam eden 80 dördüncü sınıf öğrencisiyle yürütülmüştür. Araştırmaya, kolay erişilebilir ve araştırmaya katılmaya gönüllü olan bir ilkokul dahil edilmiştir. Okuldaki dördüncü sınıflardan iki şube Kontrol Grubu, iki şube Deney Grubu olarak belirlenmiştir. Araştırma kapsamında öğrencilerden veri toplamak amacıyla Fen Bilimleri Dersi Tutum Ölçeği (FBDTÖ), Fen Öğrenimine Yönelik Motivasyon Ölçeği (FÖYMÖ), Basit Elektrik Devreleri Başarı Testi (BEDBT) kullanılmıştır. Eğitici çizgi romanların akademik başarı, derse yönelik tutum ve motivasyon üzerindeki etkisinin incelendiği bu çalışmada Fen Bilimleri Dersi Öğretim Programında yer alan kazanımlar doğrultusunda birer hafta kullanılmak üzere iki eğitici çizgi roman geliştirilmiştir. İlk çizgi romanda bir kazanım, ikinci çizgi romanda iki kazanım yer almaktadır. Araştırmacı tarafından bir senaryo hazırlanmış ve hazırlanan senaryo Türkçe eğitimi alanında uzman bir akademisyen tarafından dil ve anlam bakımından incelenerek gerekli düzenlemeler yapılmıştır. Bu senaryo Pixton isimli web sitesinden faydalanılarak çizgi roman haline getirilmiştir. Ölçme araçları deney ve kontrol gruplarına ön test ve son test şeklinde uygulanarak öğrenci puanlarında deneysel müdahale ile gerçekleşen değişim belirlenmiştir. Araştırmanın sonucunda deney ve kontrol grubu öğrencilerinin tutum, motivasyon ve akademik başarı son test puanları arasında deney grubu lehine anlamlı fark olduğu görülmüştür. Buna göre eğitsel çizgi romanın derse yönelik tutum, motivasyon ve akademik başarı değişkenleri üzerinde olumlu yönde etkisi olduğu söylenebilir.
