Editorial Policies
International Journal of Education Technology and Scientific Researches (IJETSR)
The International Journal of Education Technology and Scientific Researches (IJETSR) is committed to maintaining high standards of academic integrity, transparency, and ethical responsibility in scholarly publishing. These editorial policies define the roles and responsibilities of authors, reviewers, editors, and the editorial board to ensure a fair, rigorous, and ethical publication process.
1. Ethics Policy for Authors
Authors are expected to conduct and report their research in an ethical, accurate, and responsible manner. All submitted work must be original, and proper acknowledgment of sources is mandatory. Any form of plagiarism, including self-plagiarism, is strictly prohibited and may result in rejection or retraction.
Research involving human participants must be carried out with full respect for participants’ rights, dignity, and well-being. Authors must obtain informed consent from participants and ensure confidentiality and privacy are maintained throughout the research and publication process. Where applicable, prior approval from an institutional ethics committee or review board must be obtained and clearly stated in the manuscript.
Authors must disclose any financial, institutional, or personal conflicts of interest that could influence the interpretation of the research. They are also responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data presented. Fabrication, falsification, or manipulation of data constitutes serious misconduct and will not be tolerated.
2. Editorial Responsibilities
Editors are responsible for ensuring a fair, unbiased, and transparent editorial process. Manuscripts are evaluated solely on the basis of academic merit, originality, clarity, and relevance to the journal’s scope, without discrimination based on authors’ background or affiliation.
All submissions and related communications are treated as confidential. Editors must not disclose information about a manuscript to anyone other than those directly involved in the review and publication process.
Editors must avoid handling manuscripts in which conflicts of interest exist. In such cases, responsibility is reassigned to another qualified editor. Editors are also responsible for addressing ethical issues and taking appropriate corrective actions, including issuing corrections, retractions, or expressions of concern when necessary.
3. Peer Review Policy
All manuscripts submitted to IJETSR undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure objectivity and quality. The identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed throughout the review process.
Reviewers are expected to provide constructive, unbiased, and timely evaluations based on the originality, methodological soundness, and contribution of the research. They must maintain confidentiality and disclose any conflicts of interest that could affect their impartiality.
4. Publication Ethics
Authorship must be limited to individuals who have made significant contributions to the research. All authors must approve the final manuscript prior to submission. Contributors who do not meet authorship criteria should be appropriately acknowledged.
Authors must not submit the same manuscript to multiple journals simultaneously. Duplicate or redundant publication is considered unethical unless clearly disclosed and approved.
Research findings must be reported honestly and transparently. Methods and analyses should be described in sufficient detail to allow understanding and, where appropriate, replication.
Authors retain copyright of their work while granting the journal the right to publish under a Creative Commons license, ensuring broad dissemination with appropriate attribution.
5. Data Availability and Sharing
The journal encourages authors to make research data available in recognized repositories where possible. A data availability statement must be included in the manuscript, indicating how and where supporting data can be accessed or providing justification if data cannot be shared.
Authors are expected to retain raw data for a reasonable period after publication and provide access for verification if requested.
6. Plagiarism Policy
All submissions are screened using plagiarism detection tools to ensure originality. Manuscripts with significant similarity may be rejected. Confirmed cases of plagiarism may result in rejection, retraction, and notification to the authors’ affiliated institutions.
7. Corrections, Retractions, and Misconduct
The journal investigates all allegations of research or publication misconduct carefully and transparently. Minor errors in published articles may be corrected through errata or corrigenda. Serious ethical violations, including plagiarism or data falsification, may result in retraction or an expression of concern to maintain the integrity of the scholarly record.
8. Adherence to International Standards
IJETSR aligns its editorial and ethical policies with internationally recognized standards, including those established by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and other relevant organizations. These frameworks guide the journal’s commitment to responsible publishing and ethical oversight.
